Dear Parents,

                        Thank you for attending the PTM. We appreciate your valuable feedback.  We will try to implement your ideas if feasible. We will be taking the children of the Pre-KG, LKG & UKG on an educational trip to the ZOO on the 26th August. Snacks and water will be provided.  We will be leaving school by 9:30 am and returning by 1:45 pm. Hence you are requested to see that your child reaches school by 9:15 am and is picked up by 2:00 pm.

The topics that will be covered during this month are as follows:

Nature table: We will introduce your child to the concepts of “Animals and Birds” during this month and through these concepts, your child will learn:

  • The names of animals and birds and their young ones
  • Their special features
  • Their food habits
  • The various sounds made by animals and birds
  • The places where they live
  • The uses of birds and animals
  • The names of the various homes of animals

Science Experiment: A fresh egg sinks in water and a rotten egg floats on water.   

Colour day: Kindly dress your child in “Brown” on Wednesday, the 10th of August.

Language: Phonetic Sounds, sand paper letters from (a to m)

  • Finding letters
  • English writing: Strokes- a and b
  • Oral: Phonetic sounds k to s with pictures

Maths: Sand paper numerals from (1 to 10)

  • Number rods 1 to 10
  • Oral: Numbers from 11 to 30

Sensorial:  Long rods

Cultural:  Collection of model of animals

  • Large pictures of animals Zig saw puzzle of animals

 

Practical: Folding the napkin

  • Dry pouring – Beans into 3 unequal bowls
  • Dry pouring – Beans upto indicator line
  • Dry pouring – Beans from jug to jug
  • Wet pouring

Rhymes: (1) Humpty dumpty (2) Hot cross buns (3) Teddy bear
